you can take whatever you want to out of the quote, however you can't slice and dice it to fit exactly what "you" want it to mean. You're disrespecting Peterson...

good read. everyone from fans to the best player on the team recognizes RS needs to be a focal point of the offense. make it happen Les.
OTOH, Peterson has his own questions ab the defense and w/ good reason. I'm not sure it will be all that stout either. Chavis has had more avg defenses than great ones

That being said, if he wanted to answer the question like a man (or leader), he would have shouldered some of the blame on behalf of the players. "sure, this is SEC football, and coaches shoulder a lot of the blame when expectations aren't being met. But as players, we have to live up to our potential too, and execute like we know how. Spend extra time in the film room and weight room. If we perform poorly, it's not all on the coach." That's how a man answers that questions.

Bottom line, you shouldnt have quotation marks around the quote because that isnt quoting PP. You just took excerpts from his actual quote. And i honestly think it is bullshite that you're putting a negative spin on a quote from one of our players and leaders.

But it isn't true what you stated....The players put themselves in position to win 2 games last year they lost.....PSU and Ole Miss....the management of the game was a direct coinciding factor but I understand your point.

You can only say that if players played mistake free football, and that didn't happen. If TT catches half the passes he dropped in both games, then we win both. If we don't miss blocks, tackles, etc. Everything that happens, both in the booth and on the field affect the outcome. It's a copout to say all the blame for the result of any game falls on the coach. It's intelectually dishonest.
