Perspective regarding basketball (no need to melt)

Yesterday 8 ranked teams played.
5 of those teams lost to lower ranked or unranked teams (including us).
That includes the #1 team getting blown out, at home no less. (Edited: woops).
Here are the Net rankings of some of the teams they lost to:
141 (lost by 8)
80 (lost by 20)
48 (lost by 12)
And Duke lost by 16 at home
Florida's NET is 33. We lost in OT.
Point being, this is basketball. It's a long season and these losses happen. I think too many people here have a football, win all or you suck, mindset.
Anybody really watching this team should be able to see that most games are close. We rarely blow anyone out, which means we can lose any game.
The flip side is this team can compete with anyone. We showed that at Kentucky. People need to temper their expectations. This team has the talent to make a Final Four run, yet is fully capable of going one and done.

Coach K lost by 16 at home to his arch rival, with two top 5 picks and four total McD's AA's on the floor.
Johnny Jones is impressed.

It sucks. They didn’t shoot well and we couldn’t break their defense down because of it. It happens. Disappointing they play worse at home than the road

Lol my bad, I didn't watch the game, just saw a few highlights. I thought they said he went out before half.
Regardless, they're the #1 team at home.

The way we are coached I personally feel the reason for that is we expect to have it easier at home so these guys let up a bit. They know Tennessee is good and I bet we give them hell sat. 5 games left. If we win them all we still win the sec and get the number 1 seed but that game last night might have taken all our breathing room. We dont want to be counting on Auburn to beat UT at the end.

That was one of our worst games of the season and it still took OT to beat us. They didn’t play hard enough to overcome the flukey offensive boards and contested shots UF had and the missed FTs/bunnies came back to haunt us. Basically I’m glad im not taking part in today’s practice.
