Perspective on LSU being chosen for ChicFilA Bowl...

You have to be playing you best football at the end of the season. After BAMA, LSU was spent. We barely win our final 3 games of which 2 of them were against unranked opponents. Our OOC schedule was one of the weakest I've seen in years at LSU and we looked unimpressive in those games (except UW). Think about it, other than the 3.5 quarters against BAMA, when did LSU really look "impressive"? Yes, we won games, but we won "ugly". Yes, we beat TAM straight up but they went on a tear after that game beating the eventual SEC Champion and tearing every other team a new arse hole. My point, we more than likely got what we deserved based on our on the field performance for our last 3 games.

Still doesn't mask the fact that LSU is a second class citizen in this conference.

I think people have forgotten pretty quickly how shitty our pass D was towards the end of the season, and Clemson has weapons.

It's exactly the game we deserve. We were lackluster our last 2 games and had 2 losses. Perception is reality, we are not a sexy football team, We will never ever have an offense of Heisman candidate ever!

Bah, the defense was gassed due to attrition. I really believe the rest will do wonders for the whole team's play, not just the defense.

This is my major issue.
But, on his topic, I think we were 1 first down from the BCSNCG, so Cotton seemed about right to me.
He's trying to rationalize a slap in his face. An SEC apologist, and a true Democrat, if I ever saw one.

I'm actually happy. I live in Georgia and have a son that is begging me to take him to his first LSU game. Anybody have tickets that doesn't want to go I will gladly take them off your hands
