Perception is everything...

Is anyone aware of the repetition on this board? Posts by fans who are not happy with this coach and some of his staff are ENDLESS. Finding new information or novel, productive comments on here is a challenge.
It appears any changes to the coaching staff for the 2010 season have been made. The never-ending criticism of the coaches is creating and perpetuating a football program that looks like it is in turmoil with coaches and players who cannot and will not have a successful season in 2010. What player or family would be attracted to this?
Keep in mind, signing day for 2010 is fast approaching and the 2011 class is a gold mine. Recruits or those who communicate with them
should experience all that is special about LSU and it's fans. Players need and deserve their fanbase to be upbeat and looking forward to a 'NEW' season. Attitude is contagious. When the team works their tails off as student-athletes, they must know their fans believe in what they are doing and that they will be successful.
There has been enough 'ranting' about what fans don't like about the program. Time to move on and deal with 'what is' for now. Put energy into controlling the controllables. Let's do what we can to help the Tigers prepare to go 'at it again' next season. 'Rant' about a promising future, our much-loved Tigers and how great it is to be a part of all that is LSU.

My perception was that the first game looked exactly like the last game. That was my problem with the Coaching.
LSU Can and Should be playing much better than what was demonstrated on the field.
No one on this board should Ever Accept a 112/120 offense. This has to improve.
ETA: LSU Can be great next year, but the coaches need to step up and earn the paycheck they are cashing.

Reality tends to count for something too.

Why is it that every new poster has to lecture the board on perception and context?
We all know it's a game.
But the point of a message board is for interested parties to freely exchange ideas and have discussion and debate.
If you don't like my opinions, that's fine. But do not try to lecture me or try to get me to shut up. This is America, dammit. Commie.

The totality of the LSU football program is like an organic thing. It is growing/shrinking, optimistic/pessimistic, has a positve/negative culture etc.
When people PILE ON with the OBVIOUS critiques, that we all can see with the naked eye, and which 99.9 % of us fully understand, OVER AND OVER AGAIN LIKE A BAD MILLI VANILLI SONG---real damage to our program will is done.
Yet, nobody seems able to suppress the need to bore us with the same OBVIOUS negativity, again and again, ad nauseaum.
It's not that negative critiques aren't valid.
It's that making our coaches OBJECTS OF DERISION is now, at this point, counter-productive.
There is nothing to be said about Les Miles and Gary Crowton that has not already been said.
Yours is an important point.
To rant is NOT a virtue, if it has already been said dozens/hundreds/thousands of times. Check yourself people, as it has ALREADY BEEN SAID...

Seems to be a challenge to ranters to describe the obvious in more profound ways than the next. Damn those Germans!

Could not possibly agree more!

Amen, PIMP...I read daily and rarely post. Wish many others were the same.

In marketing, perception is reality. Would LSU fans rather market LSU using criticizing, complaining, doom and gloom fans? At this point it's like beating a dead dog. EVERYONE has heard the opinions about the coaches and the disappointing 2009 season. Yes, everyone has the right to babble endlessly about the same subject...I am simply suggesting that continuing on this path will run off recruits. It is discouraging to the current players. If there are going to be BIG changes, they are likely not going to happen right now. Enjoy the journey!

In the physical world (not the textbook one) reality also has to be perceived. The reality of LSU football is a recent downward trend. "Perhaps" this will change if Les is willing to change, but HE must perceive the NEED to change. It appears that only an irate alumni/fanbase can be successful in convincing him, since Les seems to be incapable of perceiving this himself.
And if he can't, he should go.
And if he can't, he should go.
