is about a yard of space between the two, and if that isn't being beat, then I don't know what is

30 yards.

A better throw by Tebow would have led to a TD. The CBS replay which showed the whole field illustrates how badly Chris got beat, but I can't find a video of that. But it was worse than any of our corners have been beat all year. It isn't as close as you are making it out to be.

So he was behind at the beginning due to a slip or bad read, but recovered to be, at the worst, a yard from the ball? That's not getting beaten bad, and if you're saying that's the worst any corner has been beaten all year, then it's amazing how we've done so poorly this season with a 1 yard difference being our worst coverage play.

Jai has shown to be our best cover guy in games. Also, Jai and PP play the same side of the field, and in our defense, they always play that side of the field. So Chris' back up isn't PP, but Phelon. I would still take Jai and PP over CH.

being a RCB or a LCB isn't definitive. If Jai and PP were the two best corners, they'd both be on the field. There really isn't that much of a difference in assignments for the two positions.

In our defense I think it is. Or at least that is what Pelini said a while back. That could have changed, but I don't think it has.

He was behind the ball because he bit on the out. The one yard of space is being lenient, I still look at it and see him being beat by two yards, which is pretty significant. One or two yards, that still isn't "tight" coverage. Seriously, if you can watch the CBS replay of that play where they focus on just Murphy and Hawkins, it isn't as close as you are making it out to be.

Okay, so basically you don't think Chris is the best cover corner because of one play where, when the play was made, he was 1 1/2 behind the guy with no safety help and a Heisman winner throwing the ball.

Whatever floats your boat, agree to disagree.

I am with you. CH is not our best cover guy JE is. And by the way CH left the field too not just Jai. People get winded or other guys have fresh legs or some DB's play zone better or the run better..but on man cover Jai is the man over CH. Not to say CH sucks or is bad or can't cover Jai is just a little better.

CH is still good and noone said he wasn't good just not the BEST cover guy on the team. And based on more than one play. But I think all 3(Jai,Pat,&Chris) have all fared pretty well considering this is their first year starting!

Coming out for a few plays due to playing all game and being replaced are two different things.

Second half in favor of Peterson. Peterson pretty much played the entire second half.

He might have been injured. Usually they rotate every series.

injured?

I will check it out...but these are just opinions and that doesn't mean he isn't the best cover man, but the coaches might side with you on this
