The UNC game got close due to lack of focus in the 4th quarter, not some failure of scheme.

That and putting in all kinds of Freshmen.

I am not overly confident in Chavis either to start/finish a season or stop spread option O's. He's had more talent on D over the last two seasons than anybody and has yet to make a good offense cower. It just doesn't happen with his D's (or at least not yet) and it ain't for lack of talent.

1st game '09: lit up by Locker/UW
1st game '10: lit up by UNC
last game '09: slogged on by PSU (couldn't get it done at the end)
last game '10: OK vs TAM but nothing great.

The main-most reason most act like Chavis is geat is Malleveto.

Don't get me wrong, Chavis is a great (the best) LB coach. But until I see us perform similar to '03 I'll regard Chavis as ok, not great.

With that said, here's to duck season.
