He did not want the job. Pretty sure he only took it because LSU needed him to. He wants more time with grandkids and he knows what it takes to be OC at LSU its 24/7. I think because of what he did for LSU he should be in the ring of honor. Nobody except Ensminger would have given up what he did to het Brady. They actually should put Ensminger/Woodley in the ring just like I posted cause that's how the played together.

Brady is calling the plays. Every camera pan to him in the press box his play sheet is out and he is the only one talking in the headset.

Well at least one time last game Brady was holding the play sheet and talking into the headset while Steve was sitting there not saying anything

I heard from the broadcast of the game that Ensminger calls the 1st & 2nd down plays and Brady calls the third down plays.

Without Steve Ensminger, there would be no Joe Brady at LSU today. It was Ensminger who befriended Brady after a New Orleans Saints coaching clinic. As their friendship was built around their mutual love for offensive football.
Then when Passing Game Coordinator, Jerry Sullivan, was retiring again, it was Ensminger that suggested to Ed O to hire Brady as the new Passing Game Coordinator. As Ed O at that point didn't even know who Joe Brady was. However, because Ed O regards Ensminger as his general of the offense and trusts him immensely, Ed O went ahead and hired him.
Then once hired, Ensminger and Brady worked together tirelessly to create a new LSU offense. Brady also did an outstanding job coaching the receiver corp up and Ensminger, who is a very experienced QB coach, did a good job of coaching up Joe Burrow.
Anyway, cause I recognize the value that Steve Ensminger has brought to the program and the level of trust Ed O places on his knowledge of offensive football, I don't see Ensminger going anywhere soon as Ed O needs him immensely. Just as he also needs Dave Aranda and his knowledge of defense immensely.
I'm sure Ed O and Scott Woodward will take care of Brady. However, I don't see Ed O doing it at the expense of getting rid of his current general of the offense.
I do see Brady eventually becoming the Offensive Coordinator and the designated LSU play-caller. However, not until Steve Ensminger is ready to relinquish those duties. I also hope Steve Ensminger teaches Brady how to coach QBs as well before he retires.

It has crossed my mind that if we get frank Wilson on board, we don’t need Mickey Joseph to recruit New Orleans. Maybe Joseph is odd man out.
