Orgeron on Joe Brady in his conference today
Sounded very very confident that Joe Brady is going to stay for LSU. The guy basically asked what he would do inbetween the SEC and Championship game about talks with Joe Brady. He basically said, we already have the plan in place and are a step ahead of anyone else interested in Brady.

Personal feeling -

I think Brady gets named OC and E will announce retirement before the early signing period.

Then you take that open coaching spot and add Frank Wilson onto the staff.

E will remain on staff in some capacity as long as he wants. I have noticed that Joe seems to be doing a lot more playcalling the last few games. Breaking him in. I like it

Promoting Brady and getting Frank back would be ideal. I don’t see E just totally retiring though

What title he's named and when doesn't really matter. Ensminger will pass the torch to Brady and it will be his role sooner or later (whichever is best for the team). LSU will make sure he's taken care of in the mean time so he won't leave. It's mutually beneficial for both sides to do it this way.

Whatever they decide to do between now and next year with what coach has what title. I guarantee one thing. E will be in the box with Brady next year because frankly, Brady wants him there.
From what I’ve heard, that relationship is damn near like father and son at this point.

How do you tell when either one is calling plays?

I’m usually drunk when watching so I don’t catch everything

Coach O knows Brady is buttering that bread...he isn’t going anywhere soon. That’s what a good CEO does...take care of the productive components in a business.

Well at least one time last game Brady was holding the play sheet and talking into the headset while Steve was sitting there not saying anything

The year of transition will be as smooth as silk. Fans can move on. No drama here.

The talk about Brady leaving for TX is bull shite. They only have 6 of the top 20 recruits in TX committed. He knows Herman seat is on fire and that is potentially a 1 year gig. Plus he as a plethora of Offensive skill guys to work with and just going to be reloading at this point nor rebuilding.

What coach gets dropped to make room for Frank. Or do analyst not count against the amount of coaches?

I think you could be close to what may happen. However, I don't think Coach E retires. I think Coach E and Brady essentially swap roles and Coach E sticks around for another couple of years to coach another position or become an analyst. I think Brady probably will demand more money than Ensminger did. I don't think Coach E is quite ready to hang up the whistle. I think he wants to do what is best for LSU in the long run. My guess is that Coach E understands the situation. Nobody has to tell him what is happening and what needs to happen.

I just remember rumors of E retirement before he even got the interim OC job.
