You're obviously right about this. No one should subject their family to these kinds of insults. Could you somehow get this message to Coach Miles, so that he know he has options in Ann Arbor and Boulder.
Also, could use your connections in the corporate community to let some of the money people at these schools know that Miles is unhappy and possibly available. Both of those schools are class acts and Miles would fit in well at either one.
I know that on some level you're an LSU fan, but because of the abuse Miles has received, this is simply the right thing to do.
