They don't let you use your phone during practice. So no pics or updates till after it's over.

Jennings runs the offense a little better, however Harris has the it factor. Really not much separating them.

You don't know much about the position if you don't think there is a lot of separation between the two

They'll never get this, and I have been preaching it. Now I have never been one to get on JJ and believe he could have been great with proper training considering he had all the necessary physical tools, but does anybody remember how great they said he was at the Manning event?

LINK

quote:

Thibodaux - LSU quarterback Jordan Jefferson continued to draw rave reviews on day two of the Manning Passing Academy.

Former Florida quarterback Jesse Palmer was effusive in his praise of the maligned Tigers' starter.

"He's one of those guys when you watch him throw against the air, he's unbelievable," Palmer said. "You see his athleticism and look at the strong arm, his ability to make all the throws. His drops are about as natural as anyone I've ever played with and that includes Kurt Warner, Kerry Collins and Eli (Manning)."

Former Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy also spoke highly of his past peer and rival, lauding Jefferson's technique at the position.

"He's got all the talent in the world," McElroy said. "Big, strong arm with a surprisingly good technique from center. He killed us last year, and I've got a lot of respect from him."

And then the thread started the other day with the two throwing against the air. Look at the comments in it and you'll see the some of the same stuff.

By the way, I believe Harris is heisman material with two years worth of instruction, so this is not a bashing. From what I've gathered around the net (I read up on a lot of college football so i gather tidbits of people who say they "saw a scrimmage"), Harris looks good against air, but Jennings knows how to run the offense and read the defense way better (which should be expected) and it is extremely evident when they scrimmage. Harris could be ready by Fall, but he has a big learning curve to overcome. After not seeing or hearing about Rettig at all, I'm guessing he is way behind also.

Now this is all just people on the net, and people on the net can lie, but from what little I saw in the spring game last year, and the little bit of game he was in 2013, Jennings is only really limited by his arm. I think he can be better in some areas, and the high throws will be taken care of in due time, but I still believe this kid is something special, and will blow us out of the water this year.
