Timeout.

Are you defending a Senior QB who is struggling running what the coaches are even saying is a simplified offense because its preseason?

Seems like he should be more comfortable than anyone on the field.

BigJake,

was your son out there? I'd love to see him in the purple n gold in 4 years. Does he even like LSU?

Seems that we have 6 SEC ready DT's. Barring a rash of injuries, I think we are fine.

We have three. One of them is a true freshman and another is an undersized injury prone DT. We are thin at DT.

Lee looked way better than the other two

JJ had several throws that would make you scratch your head.

And Lee throwing the ball directly to Luke Muncie and Missing a wide open WR 5 yards away from him didn't make you scratch your head ?

Mett threw the ball better than JJ also

Do not disagree with this. He definitely throws the ball better than anyone on the team.

The pick six was definitely JJ

It was Mettenberger

Agreed.

Let it fly a little to much when Shep beat Simon one on one.

The move he pulled on Reid was anything but leadership

That was heat of the moment, he had been scrambling around for a while and Reid came from his blind side. Jefferson lowerd his shoulder, Reid wrapped him up. Saw no wrong of it from either guy, just two competitors going at it.

To those worried about DT depth, it should be telling to you this year LSU isn't really going after a DT. And MJ hasn't even made it to campus yet. That likely means LSU is comfortable with who they have now...

there are none in the state of Louisiana.

It would really be nice if the clearinghouse would hurry up and declare him eligible.

They are all coming back. It's also about numbers. Thats the good news for next year. For this year, I'm not counting on Bennie Logan and Ego Ferguson to be counted on to be major contributors.

Believe me, I hope I'm wrong and Logan and Ego can play. But, from what I have heard and what I saw. I'm not relying on them right now

Didn't Ego blow some plays up in the scrimmage? How is Johnson handling the new weight at 310? Did he lose any quickness?

Johnson has weighed over 300 since he was 16, and has maintained a sub 4.8 forty

Shhhhh - no realistic opinions allowed.
12-1 or 13 -0 are all that is acceptable for this most talented and well coached team in LSU history ........
BCSNC or bust

Every single person here would be more than happy with another 11-2 season. Don't be an arse.

Jeffersons stats when good don't matter "because its only practice, do it in a game!" -- thus it follows that his bad stats don't matter either. I'll wait and see.. and if he isn't the best option, pull him, like last year.

Our offense will be better than last year. That's pretty much a lock. There's only one direction to go.

I remember one play no one blocked him, that play he blew up the play in the backfield. For the most part when I watched him specifically, he was pulling the "Thomas Dunson" move. Jump on top of the pile when the play had already been made by someone else.

I also specifically remember watching him versus Alex Bonnette, in which Bonnete dominated him on the play. These were the type of guys he was going up against.

Johnson's a beast. Still a freshman and thats enough to worry you. But hey, Oklahoma made it to the BCSNCG with Tommy Harris as the lead DT as a freshman.
