Based on the scrimmage, who would you say are our top 5 freshmen?

True Freshaman; Freak, Beckham, Magee, Rasco, Collins.

In your opinion, what are the 2 biggest areas of concern?

Defensive Tackle depth and defensive tackle depth.

We gotta get the ball to DeAngelo, and he's got to be more physical with the ball in his hands and when the balls in the air. There's no reason for not getting him 4-5 throws a game. He's a complete mismatch for any team. Can you imagine defending him on a jumpball in the endzone?

this is what blows my mind. We could turn him into our version of Antonio Gates.

I was really hoping Mickey Johnson would qualify. He is physically ready to step in and provide depth.

Ferguson was probably the biggest standout. Had a couple sacks and blew up some running plays

Great news. What type of line was he going against and what type of defense was on the field with him at the time?

I don't know about that. There's wasn't much worry me about our Dline after today.

Too bad your hero Les won't let the competition play out and play the best QB. Biggest pet wins as always.

Freak
Magee
Beckham
L Collins
J Collins

Martin, Rasco and Jenkins all looked good. Hilliard looked good blocking at FB.

Semi concerned about passing game. Jefferson is the starter and should be. Lee was how Lee always is. got the ball out of his hands quick but still made a couple dumb decisions. Mett threw some great balls but also threw some ducks. Looks like he is still a year away but easily the most talented QB. If Jefferson wasn't so good running when plays broke down Mett would be our starter.

Second concern is OL health. If Faulk goes down we could be in real trouble. Top 5-6 guys are good and I love the size on the back ups but no one is ready to come fill in. Great depth for the future.

Better hope Brock and Freak stay healthy at DT. I'm not worried at all at DE. But depth at DT, Extremely concerned.

Looks like Tarzan, plays like Jane. Has a tendancy to step out of bounds at the three yd line to avoid any kind of contact. See "The River" play against Bama last season.

Do Fobbs and Armand Williams have a chance of contributing?

Also, do we have a receiving tight-end sans Peterson?

Love how we put that label on him because of one fricking play.

As far as the punting it looked to me they were trying to position punt a lot. Angled a lot of balls towards the sideline to get good rolls and have coverage on it right away. Wing killed one ball that hit the roof. Probably would have gone 55+ in the air.

I wouldn't be too concerned about kicking. Alleman was booting balls at the end of practice but pushed one right and hooked another one. Definitely has the leg to replace Jasper.

Jefferson was the best QB on the field today IMO. If Luke Muncie could catch, Lee's day wouldn't be all that impressive to everyone.

Seriously, when we play NSU after Oregon, our DTs should be riding bikes on the sideline and we should have walkons in their place.

This is key to whole season

The only ball he punted with his left foot.

No. Beckham is the real deal and Landry isn't even out there. I would put Turner ahead of them as well. Real quick and got a lot of looks at KR.

Dickson looks to have some promise. Caught 3 or 4 balls.
