What time does it start? Kinda odd that this is the only thread on it I have seen today . I was seriously wondering if I had the date wrong.
Posted on 8/13/11 at 12:52 pm to mouton

I think it started at 11. I expect a Bil J report thread in the next couple of hours.

The only starters I noticed out today were Claiborne, Blackwell, and Stampley (& Copeland, if he's counted as a starter). Not sure if Chase Clement participated, but I didn't notice him.
Here's my impression of the depth chart as of today:
OFFENSE:
QB:
J. Jefferson
J. Lee
Z. Mett
J. Randall & S. Rivers
RB:
S. Ware
M. Ford
A. Blue
J. Gore & T. Magee
FB: (x)=did not participate
(Stampley)
(Copeland)
Neighbors & K. Hilliard
TE: (*I'm pretty uncertain beyond #2 or #3 here. Competition is still open)
D. Peterson
(C. Clement)
Mitch Joseph
Nic Jacobs
T. Edwards
T. Dickson
OL: (in no particular order. T-bob was starting in Blackwell's stead. I'm blanking out on who the fifth starter was)
Dworaczyk
Blackwell
Lonergan
Faulk? Williford? Shaw? Branch?
Hurst
*T-Bob (utility guy)
WR: (again, I'll just list them all under one position)
R. Randle
R. Shep
J. Wright
K. Boone*
O. Beckham Jr. & Jarvis Landry & Paul Turner
Williams*
Fobbs*
*=potentially already beat out by our incoming freshman. We'll see come September.
DEFENSE:
D-Line Rotation:
DE: (again, I'll just list order of rotation)
Adams
Montgomery
B. Mingo
L. Edwards
*I think beyond this point its fair game.
Allen
Aghayere
Rasco**
Maclin
**Rasco might soar to the top of this list.
DT:
M. Brockers
J. Downs/F. Johnson
*Bennie Logan
*Ego Furgenson
*D. Johnson
LB's (2-deep):
Starting three: Francios, Minter, Baker
Next three: Barrow, Hatcher*, T. Jones
DB's (I'll just list our 5 man core group)
Claiborne
Mattheiu
Simon
B. Taylor
E. Reid
*Craig Loston
*R. Brooks
*Derrick Bryant
*Ronnie Vinson
P: *Fairly big concern here
Howard
Wing
PR:
T. Mattheiu (!)
R. Randle
KR:
M. Claiborne
R. Brooks
T. Mattheiu
P. Turner
O. Beckham
T. Magee
(*Gore? I can't tell where he is in the mix.)
I'll give some highlights in my next post.
PLEASE correct me if I get anything grossly wrong, fellow attendees. I didn't get to dissect everything.

For all I know Hairston or Alleman might take over the job. It was in the indoor facility, so it's very hard to tell. But Wing is consistently inconsistent, and Howard is a consistently mediocre. But I'll take the guy with more hangtime and better accuracy any day of the week.
That said, I'm really not sure about P and PK. I think Alleman is handling PK and FG. Our Kickers all have the same damn numbers so its hard to tell who is who.

Odell Beckham Jr looks kinda decent.

I just got back no time for ? But quick reaction to what I saw.JJ was JJ no other way to put it. Run defense was awesome nowhere for any backs to go.Freak and Brockers took up a lot of space There were a few big pass plays made and missed JL and Mett made them.....BOth JL and Mett. Led drives with downfield passes mixed in with short outs,JJ over threw wide open sheperd and threw behind on a rollout for a pick six. They moved the whole thing indoors not ideal to see as much as we usually do. I'm sure more info will trickle in. I kind of hate going first with this opinion but oh well.It Is What It Is

In his defense nobody was open all day on our #1 defense. Shep made one play where he broke a tackle after catching a pass and scored. Besides that, not much from the offense against the #1 defense.

who were the linebackers with the 1's?
