lol, I'd love to speak with you 3 years from now if LSU continues to employ Les for that long
i've been a fan all my life. 3 more years won't change anything.

Born in 69, so you wasn't around for the first title...something tells me once you've tasted the type of success LSU has had in the past 10 years you won't be so receptive of mediocrity the next time around

And what about the assholes who hate him because he is clearly a dolt?
Those are the type of people I'm talking about, that are upset that he doesn't portray an image that they can live vicariously through

i just know you can't win the NC every year. i think we got a chance every year to win the SEC and that's enough for me. i would love to be a top 10 team every year but it's tough in this conference. i was around in the 90's so i know pain and 8-4 ain't pain.

The guy cost us a game last year due to doltness

Probably.
It goes back to who turned the program around. There will always be people who have an unending loyalty to Saban, because he was the guy who took over our program when it was pretty low and brought us our first national title in over 40 years. And Miles isn't as obsessive compulsive, manic driven. So,there will always be folk who will always hate this guy just because he's different than Saban.

They hated him when we went 12-2 and hated him when he was hired. It's just a small minority.

Wonder why...I remember when he was hired I read a story from when he had brain surgery or something, he fought the doctors over leaving the hospital a day after so he could recruit some kid. I remember developing a great fondness for the guy, but his on field antics has put a really bitter taste in my mouth.
If Hitler were raised from the dead and he came back and coached this team to an undefeated season I'd be all for it.

I touched on it in a post above. It's about image. He's too nice, he's not as hot tempered and irritable as Saban, just different in personality than Saban and it has driven some people to not to be able to enjoy 51 wins as a result.

Happy with recruiting, very unhappy with the coaching up of the players ability.

Every coach has lost a game for reasons that makes the fans scratch their heads.

quote:Right. Fog the issue by pulling in irrelevant material. I'm not interested in what UF and UTX do, whether they suck or not. I am concerned about LSU, and whether this team is on track for something big, or just slowly spiraling down to the pit of mediocrity.
By that standard, I guess Florida and Texas suck even worse.
Please remember something. The era of the bad old days (Stovall, Arnsparger - the exception, Archer, Hallman and Dinardo) was not a planned move to cause misery to LSU. It happened gradually, a season at a time. One day we all woke up and discovered LSU sucks and there was no way out for a long, long time.
As the last two seasons go, the direction looks more to me like a slowly falling leaf and less like a rising star. So yes, I am unhappy and won't be happy until that star rises again and the last two seasons are a distant uncomfortable memory and LSU is again at the top of things, seriously competing and often winning the big games (and not counting the margins of defeat as some here are doing).
