I felt the same way with Richard Murphy when he got an extra year in 2010.
Murphy never got the extra year... he applied for a 6th year, but was denied... i remember him talking about coming back as a WR... didnt happen though

Lots of men making millions make poor choices. Les has made plenty. Also has made many great choices. I enjoy watching LSU football and support Les because its the right thing to do.
I do agree with you that Les will get the 'O' line at its best. He sees much more "football" that these young men play than any of us. I do think Collins will start, maybe not early but before midseason.

This is one area I would like to see Les utilize better (more play time for backups once game is decided).
Also, would like to see different offensive schemes during 3rd, 4th quarter of same games--you never know when we need to change our gameplan.

Les has gotten smarter over the years since he has been at LSU regarding the play of underclassmen. If El Collins is one of the best Offensive Guards to start, then he will do so. Outside of the last year's senior QBs, Les has played his share of underclassmen, whether that was by attrition or talent, he won big with them starting. I see the same scenario with the OL. After the championship game, and the way the OL had gotten owned by Bama's DL...Les will not tolerate that mess again on the OL. As for Josh D. it is a very nice story, but this is about winning championships, we have no time for sympathy at LSU.

Totally agree with you. Les has gotten better at playing the best person for the position regardless of age, experience, etc.
However, we had many opportunities to play 2nd and 3rd string players and utilize different schemes in the 4th quarter of games and we failed to. I would like Les to make the same kind of improvement here also.

I promise I have played and watched a lot more football than you have
I think CharlesLSU was a lineman at LSU, I am almost positive he played there, but you promise you have played more football? Where did you play?
