My first memories start in the Bluebonnet Bowl Dec. 31 '72 but I was passionate and all in right from the start at age 7 so I feel qualified here.

We were good but never great. In the time I watched from 73-79 we only defeated one team in that whole period of time that finished the season in the top 20. Just could not win the big games. That was frustrating but never mitigated the passion I had. Great memories - Mike Miley, Terry Robiskie, Carlos Carson, Charles Alexander, Ensminger and Woodley, Lyman White, A.J. Duhe, Hokie, Brad Davis...I could go on all day.

Tiger Stadium with 68,000 seats was louder and more intimidating then than it is today.
All you grasshoppers that THINK you know what loud is.... this is a fact ^^^^^.

See: LSU 28, Notre Dame 8 LINK I was there. Magical... and loud!!
