Recently, i have been watching replays of Chark's receptions and have noticed he catches the football with his arms (basket style) alot, rather than with his hands.

Not sure it has really affected his big play ability agianst lesser competition, but i have to believe he will need this skill against tighter windows and contested throws.

Thoughts...

There's times for the basket catch and times you need to meet the ball at it's highest point.

As long as he knows when to do each.

Excluding Beckham and Lanry, Chark is the most complete receiver we've had since Dwyane Bowe or Early Doucet. His combination of size, speed, and strong hands are elite. He has NFL written all over him.

Damn I bet Rueben Randle wished he had Mettenburger or Etling throwing him the ball...Randle was a complete receiver bud.

This.

Fans hear something on tv and then apply it to everything.

If a ball comes to you wobbly, or low, or if you have contact during the catch, it's sometimes better to use your arms...

I appreciate the effort with pics. I do. But you showed a basket catch, a catch with his hands that bounced off of them, and a high school pic as evidence. Weak.

I hope this prompts you for more picture posting.

Randle was great and I admitedly forgot about him. But I still maintain that Chark is a better NFL prospect. His speed sets him apart and he's almost as tall as Randle.

You sound mad.

When DJ is counting his millions next year, make sure to send him an email reminding him not to basket catch anything.
