know enough to realize the staff fricked up at Wisconsin, while you think they did the right thing

Youre using hindsight.

57 seconds left
1and 15.
52 yard fg with a kicker that hadnt attempted a single fg in a game since NOVEMBER 8TH 2014.
Wisky with 3 timeouts
We had run for a total of about 40 yards since 8 minutes left in the 3rd quarter.
Youd be sitting here shitting on miles had we ran 3 times and missed a long fg

Like i said..... you dont know enough about football to formulate your own stance so you just spout bullshite you read on here

I'm even more puzzled why some that say they criticize the current coach appropriately are actually much more critical of the guy that was fired almost 3 years ago.

Exactly. It would be funny if it weren't so sad.

This is true. Miles would have been roasted no matter what the play calling was since we lost that game.

Saying we want to wait and see what happens with this new offense is not bashing the guy. It's a perfectly logical train of thought. I don't know why some on here insist that he be given credit for things before they've come to fruition.

Was coming to post these two things.

you're conservatively expecting a top 15ish offense?

Going by 2018 it would be almost top ten. So, Rog sees us going from a top 60 offense to a top 10.

Being optimistic is fine. Being delusional is ridiculous.

Yes! That's the number 1 problem I have.
I support Ensminger, he's a Tiger, but not a very good Off. Co. Not much better than Cam
Cameron
We need to give O. another year or two and watch how he handles his friend...hopefully better than Miles did.
I have hope that Ensminger gets better and will accept position help. The latest qb coach hire
seems to be working out, let's be a little patient, as hard as it is!

Would we have ever seen the RPO under Miles? Hell no. O's making some very progressive decisions towards bringing our passing game into the modern era,

Have we seen it in a meaningful situation?

Obviously you didn't read my whole post. I too am taking a wait and see approach. He still deserves credit for the changes he's made over the last couple of years to remedy where we're weak. It hasn't always worked, but at least he's trying new things. Miles never did.

I think the Brady hire is very interesting, but hiring Ensminger as the OC in the first place was a Les Miles hire through and through.

I think O earned a little more leash this past season, but he still needs to win an SEC title before he can win me over completely. There are a lot of things that I have seen from O as coach that I really like:
1. solid in-game adjustments on both sides of the ball
2. a willingness to change strategies offensively when they're not working
3. above average to excellent clock management in most situations (this was obviously a complete 180 from the previous staff)

What I still want to see (from a playing standpoint):
1. improved depth on the defensive line
2. better play by the offensive line
3. less max-protect/more quick passes when pass-blocking is struggling
4. better play by wide-recievers, especially with respect to drops
5. more consistency with regards to not playing down to opponents and blowing late-game leads.

Did Les not promote from within when he lost Pelini? Did Les not hire a buddy that didn't have a good college offense in decades? Did Les not hire multiple guys who hadn't developed a high school QB in decades? Old, past their prime, OC hires make zero sense.

Ensminger was a lazy hire, and was a comfort hire. There were various younger offensive minded guys who had modern offenses and had recently good QB play. Maybe O corrects his 2 prior OC mistakes with Brady. If this doesn't work out though, that's all I'd, and probably several big boosters and fans, would need to see to realize O doesn't have what it takes to get LSU to the next level.
