Yes, you do understand why we have $4,000,000 reasons a year NOT to be 7-8 in our last 15 SEC games, and when we are 7-8 we have a right to bitch at the top of our lungs about it.

That's why Miles is paid what he's paid. With all that money comes expectations and accountability, such as it is with any super high level position in life. It comes with the territory. If he doesn't embrace it, then he can go pick up the towels in the locker room, and there isn't much expected there but to just flippin pick up the towels.

Bingo. It amazes me that so many on here do not grasp this fact.

I totally agree and if you read all my posts, you will see that. All I am saying is we are not going to the SECCG every year.
What has taken place at LSU for the past two years is difficult to put into words. It is embarrassing for our entire University and fans.

Miles isn't going anywhere this year, no matter what any of us want or say. That includes ESPN....

Next year, I think it may be a different story. I've posted in a previous thread and in this thread but I will post once more. I feel our best days under Miles are behind us. I think Miles does one of two things next year...Go to a BCS game or leaves LSU.

Myself... I can't get my mind around that.

It's not really complicated. Miles is making top dollar. He has to produce top results.

People were calling for his head when he won it all.

There wasn't 100% support after the OSU game. People were mad that the team lost to Arkansas and Kentucky...nothing is good enough.

There's always going to be idiots, and they will be ridiculed for it, but this criticism actually has merit, which is why you find most Tiger fans more than just a bit put off my Miles and what he has at his disposal right now, and the manner in which he seems to have lost control of the situation.

True, you wouldn't ever see things get this disarray with a Saban, Meyer, Carroll etc.

Sympathy for Les Miles? Look... he might be the nicest guy in the world, but do you understand how obscene $4 million per year is for a job that MOST of us could do, and probably better?

I think I'll just ramble a little. That's what most of this talk on here is anyway. Get it off your chest no matter what.

I think most of the problems started when Coach Miles dismissed RP from the team. As he should have done. Who did he have coming in at Quterback? No body with any experience and it turned out worse than expected. The QB that came in late last year was not ready as well as the first one. That has not emproved as much as needed and we have been in big trouble at QB. Maybe that will improve but don't get too excited if it does not. Poor line play as well as play calling that did not fit our QB"s ability in 08 or 09.

I suspect that Coach Miles has been concerned about all of the above for some time. I'm guessing the reality hit when he failed to override the pass plays when we were on the 32 and took the two losses. At that time I can't guess what what was going through his mind but I'm sure the chance of winning the game was pretty slim. Then add on the clock management or like of.

I guess I was as upset as most everyone else about the past events. After reading all the negetive things being said about Coach Miles. I just wish that everyone could have had similer cirumstances in decisions and time clock management whether it be in sports or timing of business decions, or driving. Most of us have had this to happen to us and we don't always get it right. I know i'm not being paid 3-4 mil. to get it right.

It's time to shut up and back the team and that sure includes me.

Not only does LSU having a losing SEC record. The SEC is really down this year. Outside of fla and bama, LSU does not have an SEC opponent in the top 30!!

Reading comprehension issues this morning? Where in my post did I say one thing about winning the SECCG?

Producing top results.....I guess that means every coach in college football has failed this year, other than Fla, Bama and Tex.

We failed last year, too.

Did ya'll win the championship every year when you played?
Awaiting your response.

Bert, you didn't play past 6th grade I'm guessing. Yet you ridicule the other posters on here when they criticize Miles. I know Maximus and SlowFlow played a little college ball so I don't know where you are coming from here. Did you play in the band?
