Les Miles screwed up because he hadn't anticipated kicking a field goal in that situation--big deal.

The next time he will be ready. The definition of experience is learning a lesson too late. Miles has learned his lesson and will have a plan for the next time this comes up.

We needed a set passing play for J.J. to automatically call in this situation with time for just one more play.

Trying to get the kicking team grouped and organized after a hail mary pass is not practical without a time out.

I bet a lot of college coaches will learn from Miles's mistake.

In the Georgia game, under very similar circumstances, the coaches were talked out of a passing play by the QB and it worked. Fast forward to last night and they are calling passing plays while in field goal range. What exactly did Les Miles learn?

Its his job to know what to do in this situation. EVERYONE knew to send in the FG unit, except Miles apparently

What the frick has he ever done that leads you to believe that he will change a GD thing?

You are seriously the blindest, dumbest, most ignorant poster ive ever seen. Part of me thinks you're an alter to be posting the dumb shite that you do just to rile everyone up

Don't you think someone making millions of dollars should know when a clock stops and when it doesn't?

when you're paid 4 mil to win, yes it is a big deal when YOU are the reason we didn't win...

isn't this the same coach that was trying to call a timeout after a change of possession... Yeah, i'd say he's learning... sure..

yeah, sure....

yeah, we need to spend time on that, b/c we all know this happens what once a season??? we need our coaches to be as prepared as they expect the players to be....

FAIL... there were 26 "real time" seconds from the time we caught the ball till the ball was ready to play... plent of time to get the FG team on...

I bet a lot of college coaches will use Miles's mistakes against him in recruiting.
Fixed it for ya...

Granted that is true. But there is ABSOLUTELY NO excuse for what happened last night. None. Zero. Nada. And I have been a Les Miles fan since day one.

You are as clueless as Miles. You are a head coach for a major college football team and you cannot manage the clock or make quick decisive decisions. That's why he gets paid over 3 mill a year. Boy are we getting hosed as a University and state with this clown.

Any CEO making hat much money for a major corporation and consistently making bone head mistakes would be shite canned in a heart beat!
