Does anyone know why he never had interest in going to the college ranks? Seems like he would have and sure fire opportunities, and would have done a great job.

Ive never asked him, we haven't spoke but a handful of times over the years, but I would imagine he just loves being a HS coach, we both were coached by a guy that we loved and taught us a lot in just a short time. There is just something about HS football and Friday nights, I just assumed it was in his blood.
