Not true. At least not on the Men's side.

He won women's before Oregon started putting Nike money into track. They were nothing back then. Stanford and UCLA wer the Pac-12 teams.

Didn't win that many men's titles. Arky men were the big dogs when our women were. We won a couple and finished top 5 every year just like now. With out 1 injury we get one this year.

Shaver has been just as consistent on the Men's side

Can't explain the Women other than that it was an unprecedented time that no team in any sport will see again. On Par with the UCLA men's 8 or 9 straight championships. I mean 10 straight outdoor and 11 straight indoor titles is just plain dumb. In the 2000s the women won a lot but not at the same pace.

Maybe more programs putting money into it.

Don't have all the answers, but Lee if you want to see Shaver go, who do you want to get?

Oregon, AM, and Arky's coach aren't leaving. All have better facilities and money. Florida's facilities are average but they have money and more in state to choose from.

Got a better option that is realistic?

Overall I agree with you. Collegiate track has become Oregon's title to lose. If LSU could revamp its jumps we'd probably be in the same position we've always been in. The men have an elite jumps class, but I'm disappointed the women have no one coming in
