The thing I like most about our offense is the ability to go from spread formations to the I. Charles Scott is an I-back and he is too good not to be on the field.

I think Chavis moves one or more of the safeties to LBs- not necessarily as a starter but for depth and speed in the nickel and dime packages.

Not seeing any love for DeAngelo Benton. Is that grades related or talent related?

I'd be surprised with that considering the difficulty of the center position. There's certainly enough depth at guard to make a move like that, but it may be hard to go for guard to center in the the course of a few months.

Coming from someone who played both, if you're mentally tough it's not that hard of a switch and Les is more likely to go with the experienced lineman at center.

I played center in Jr High then guard until my Jr year then moved over.

Prater - Will be back (just a RSFR next year, no reason to go..what stud 3 LB is he afraid of?)
Dixon - Could transfer but it would have to be a small school..isn't he already going to be a junior?
Jared Mitchell - Has a football scholarship, so if he decided to just play baseball then he needs to put in his financial aid paperwork
John Williams - Will be back, really opened Miles eyes these last few weeks
RJF - Who knows..
Black (maybe) - Will be back

JJ and Shepard also afford this opportunity and it makes sense

I would hate to see this... I think the balance we have with a strong running game and can spread them out when necessary is the best way to be. If you have a strong running game and a solid quarterback it is hard to stop... (See LSU 2003 & 2007)

DD says Lyle Hitt to center and Black stays. I like Hitt at center and agree eventhough most of you will disagree cuz DD said it 1st. T-Bob won't be 100% next year and might need a RS. DD is on target more times than people give him credit. Hitt at center gives us experience and leadership at this critical position.

I think/hope to see Stevan Ridley get more snaps at RB. I really think he runs as hard as anyone if given the chance. But, I dont see it happening with all of this talent and depth. I do think he will get much more PT in 2010 when Scott, Williams, and Holiday are gone. Even then, it will be a tough competition with Ford and Pratt coming in.

I agree with this, I think he needs to get on the field and may be a good fit at FB.

If the incoming recruiting class works out in our favor, look for Reuben Randle (HOPEFULLY) and Andre Debose (HOPEFULLY) to come in and see SOME time. If this happens, there have been rumors that Ricky Dixon may transfer. Of course, this is all speculation, and I think your list is relatively accurate as it currently stands.

There is so much talent at WR and I didn't mention the hopeful incoming Freshmen because I'm not sure how much they will actually contribute... I also didn't mention Benton because if his academic situation - who knows when he will finally make it on the field.

Look for Hitt to maybe move to Center and Josh Dworaczyk ( great guy by the way) to take Hitts Guard spot.

Baker will be in the mix. The kid is a gamer and LB's are getting smaller to cover backs and ends nowadays

Alexander is flat out not scary on the D line

he seems to just be fat and slow.

I hope Woods or a freshman steps up.

charles Alexander will return. He's getting another RS.

even if he does, he's gained so much bad weight and is so much slower now with the knee issues that he is a no factor

he won't contribute much IMO

why? our fullback really only blocks in our offense and we already have an O-Line to do that... why not spread it out more?

plus, good LBs are taught to follow the FB to find the ball carrier and we ALWAYS lead that stupid fullback before the snap and run behind him in a dead giveaway of where the run is going... I hate that shite

JJ and Shep are mobile QBs... you don't need much other congestion other than your best RB, which would be Scott or Keiland

I would rather spread the field with another WR... the best Crowton offenses have been when he has had more WRs on the field and is spreading and using the entire field

so why couldn't you have a strong running game without the fullback, who frankly is a dead giveaway of the run... I would rather more space for the QB and RB to mobilize if they run

Have you see Hester play FB for the Chargers. Ridley could play for us as well as Scott. Murphy could transfer. T-Bob may not be ready. Possibly Hitt at center. If Georgia freshmen could play this year, we have plenty of RSFreshmen and sophmores that can play in the line. Miles has to give them a chance. QB- we may have some plays for passing QBs, the opposite of Perriloux for Flynn. Receivers are everywhere. If we can't find what we need out of those we are in trouble. ON defense, I want to see Jones at safety, and we need to find some corners that can cover. Petersen is one. Baker needs a chance at LB. Nevis and Levingston inside on DL with Alem and someone just as fast at the other DE.

Jared Mitchell has played his last game in an LSU Football uniform.

He will be a first round draft pick in Baseball this year and that = GONE.

He got a Scholarship to play both Football and Baseball.

Not a lot about Downs either. Most of you must not have watched the UA game last night.

People that put Downs as center, where are you getting your info from?

On 2nd thought, nevermind. Most of your opinions are regurgitated info from someone else.

I'm looking elsewhere for an original thought, b/c I won't get it here. Later,
