Van Buren was fighting an uphill battle to be productive in this offense, and I think based on what he put on film he has the ability to be a solid starting quarterback given the time to develop. Unfortunately we don't have that time, and to go into 2026 with him as the starter would be a tremendous error in judgement.

I don’t have to prove you wrong but I have enough sense to know that MVB will not be Lane Kiffins starting QB next year. Hence why he’s going after big time QBs like Sorsby or Leavitt in the portal and offering big money.
