No, like I said, just a tad before my time. I don't really recall his stats.

I do remember him whippin up on ouachita a few times. Jamie Spencer > banks IMHO .

Dinardo turned him into an OL in the backfield.

FYI, I'm pretty sure Spencer never lost to West Monroe when Banks was there. They were 2 years apart. The teams Spencer were on were some of the biggest I've ever seen, if not the biggest

Should've lost his senior year. Biggest hose job ever. WM 18, Ouachita 16, refs 5. You should remember what happened.

That I do not remember, as I went to neither school, but if was Monroe area refs it no way surprises me. Those guys can change a game in a heart beat. Alexandria is about the only ones that are worse

Didn't mean Spencer lost to him. Just that he beat up on ophs and it made me think of Spencer. Ophs grad. If u played with Spencer then u went there same years as my sis and we may know eachother.

Nevermind..

Put it this way, Shows has not used Monroe officials since and that was 15 years ago. WM uses Shreveport refs.

1994 was the last year Ouachita beat WM. In 1995 we beat them 12-0 and there was a fight at the end of the game. The last 42 seconds weren't played. Our 2 losses in 96 were to Barbe 10-7 and Natchitoches Central 39-28 in the regular season. We beat NC 13-6 in the 2nd round.

Maybe I was wrong. Wm shoulda lost in 97. 10-0 ophs 4th quarter. Freshman year. I thought in 96 Trey caught a td pass in the rain but I think I remember banks getting the winning td.

Got ya... I played against him. I played at Ruston with NFLers Kenny Wright, Michael Green and later Patrick Ramsey. I also had the pleasure to play with and befriend McFarland when I breifly lived in Winnsboro

96 was in a downpour. We were up 20-0 I believe pretty fast. We let up and Ouachita came storming back. I remember a bad snap on a punt lead to the game getting interesting, but we won 28-26.

That's right. I played at ouachita from 97-01. Some good games between those two but 97 was the last good one I was involved in. Few and far between lately.

Joe, u played with some studs. That 88 squad was the shite. I still say 98wm best Eva. I'm biased in this
