Oh, comeon, when Saban was hired at LSU he was nobody at the time of hire. This is much better news.

I was just going to ask about this. I was a bit young when Emmert and Saban came around, what was the general consensus of those hires at the time?

I started following more closely during the Saban years and would agree. From an administrative standpoint this is the biggest thing to happen in that timeframe. Firing Alleva AND getting Woodward on the same
freaking day is just astounding to me! The icing on the cake would be replacing King.

Nobody knew anything about Emmert, he was the chancellor. I doubt most people even knew his name.

Saban was out of left field but people were excited once you looked at his resume.
