swimming world
I know some won't care, but it's exciting to see a dormant program on the rise. I look forward to NCAAs next week and got my passes to see the Lady Tigers! Admittedly, I will be cheering for Louisville, also, since one of our club swimmers is with them, but Geaux Tigers!

Jenna Bridges got her hands to the wall on Friday night at Texas A&M and then, well, wasn’t quite sure what she was seeing.
The LSU sophomore looked up at the board at the Student Recreation Center Natatorium and saw a “1” next to her name. That was the first surprise. She then saw a time, “that honestly I never believed I would be able to ever go in my life.” The native of Forest City, N.C., gave a passing thought to the shoulder that got her here, on which she had surgery after SECs her freshman year and that she thought might force an injury redshirt.
But soon, Bridges came to feel something else: “Astonished,” yes, but then a visceral understanding of how she’d reached the top step of the podium.

I watched a lot of that meet. It was entertaining and a good showcase for the team.
Florida is head and shoulders above the rest of the SEC it appeared. It will take a lot of hard work to rise to that level.

Maggie and Brooks Curry have been the much needed stars in a program that has had nothing to look forward to in a long time. Really hoping the coach can take advantage of their success and keep building the team.

Just because LSU fans are more vocal about certain sports doesn't mean they don't care. I don't follow swimming but as a LSU fan I care about all of the team and individual sports.
