Saban 2003>>>miles 2007

miles lost to 2 unranked teams with the most talented roster in the country in 2007. It's not even remotely close.

Agree. Also why we didn't back into the Championship game like Lucky Les.

Why do some of you idiots have to bash a NC? The Great and Powerful Saban relied on Syracuse beating Notre Dame (Or Hawaii? Can't remember)to make the NC game, if Notre Dame had won, USC would have gotten in besides LSU.

All NCs require luck, to bash Miles for being lucky to make the NC game is fricking stupid.

he still managed to frick up 2 games those seasons
2006:
Auburn - We all remember that game's drama L 7-3
Florida - Tebow jump pass and the just beat us L 23-10

2007: as mentioned above we lost twise in TRIPLE OT! by a total of 8 pts

2003: We scored 1st then UF scored 19 unanswered points L 19-7

IMHO, winning a NC in '07 with a 1st year starting QB, albeit a redshirt SR, is more impressive than winning with a 2nd year starter in '03.

Plus, people forget that beatdown of a VTU team in '07 that went on to win the ACC championship. Nothing on the '03 non-conference schedule even approaches that.

I'd have to say Miles in '07 was more impressive although I think the '03 team was a better team.

we lost to 2 average at best teams and the SEC was down in 2007 as well.

Arkansas anchored by two 1st round RBs (McFadden/Jones)

defense and QB? They weren't a top 25 team

Meyer/Tebow led Florida

pathetic defense and lost a lot of games that year

Phulmer coached Tennessee in SEC Championship

he was canned the next season for a reason.

Virginia Tech (top 10 at the time)

great game against a decent team. The best game played under Miles IMO

Spurrier coached South Carolina

and a ranked Auburn and Alabama teams.

Alabama went 6-6

It was very impressive how we were so close to blowing a team out only to let them back in the game.

Miles may be the better coach. We will never know.

Saban > Miles so far but that is because Alabama high school football is far superior to Louisiana.

Tradition and passion about football is everything at Bama. Tradition and passion about tail gaiting is everything at LSU.

I can't even fathom this statement. IMO, '03 may have been the most talented team ever at LSU from top to bottom.

Georgia>>VT IMO. I think beating them twice is way more impressive.

OU>>any team on the 2007 schedule

BS. Maybe a little superior but with Auburn, they have no advantage in recruiting.

Agree with passion for football at Alabama and passion for tailgating at LSU, but LSU fans are still pretty damn passionate about football also.

They played the best and were coached the best, but they weren't more talented. Les couldn't have gotten what Nick got out of that group.

Not "bashing" NC, rather, coach- read more carefully.

Good call, I'd forgotten that.

Agree about requiring luck but there's a difference tween having luck and depending on it. For that reason anyone who supports him on the bases of not having to rely on being lucky, and A LOT, is fricking stupid...STUPID.

2006 was a more impressive team than 2007, but Miles managed to frick that up. He tried to frick it up in 2007 (twice) but we pulled a horseshoe and a rabbit out of our arse
