I love it when people say we're overrated, as long as we keep winning. It's embarrassing for them, not us.
This is true. Not to mention perplexing, frustrating, nerve-racking. The Tigers just refuse to let these brain surgeons be right.
Oh well.

It's like I said before, when I hear "LSU won but.." all I care about is 'LSU won'. Better to win ugly than lose pretty or have to make excuses
Of course it's better to win ugly than lose, but those arent the only two options. Analysts look at the recruiting rankings and wonder why LSU, unlike other top teams, cant even register a "pretty" win against subpar teams. So until LSU starts dominating teams the way a #4 ranked team should, we'll hear this talk. I don't think this would apply against Florida or Bama though, since no team is expected to dominate either of them.

Then it's a good thing the analysts don't have a say in the BCS Standings... the computer polls (all of which have LSU at No. 1) do.

There's over a 90% chance that if MSU punches it in, LSU loses. That's what people mean.

If you think that there's more than a 10% chance of LSU (or vastly most teams for that matter) scoring off of a kick off with a minute left in the game, then it's not worth discussing with you.
With no timeouts, I might add.

I get confused with that too. It seems to me that a goal line stop is a good thing. And Georgia didn't seem to mind the penalty so much until LSU scored and won the game. Maybe we should have beaten both teams by a larger margin, but do the number of points you score really matter as long as you have more than the other team?

If we win, the media will find someway to say that we didn't deserve it and were not that good.
We will see Either
-Tebowless team - therefore, we don't deserve it.
-BooBoo Tebow - if Tebow was 100% the Tigers would have lost (can't wait to hear this one)
or maybe we win the game with a stop on fourth and inches and we should hear about how lucky we were.

Would the kickoff take more than a minute? Pretty sure we scored on UGA in about 23 seconds last weekend...with just around a minute on the clock.

Ding ding ding!! We have a winner!!
I was in the stadium and no one was concerned about that penalty in the least. They were sure lowly LSU offense couldn't score in a minute. A long kick return and 3 broken tackles later and it's the Flag Heard Round the World.

Because the game never should have come down to that goal line stand in the first place.

Yes & UGA didn't come close with just under 1 minute. The point is that the odds are HEAVILY against you to score with a minute left and no TOs from a kickoff. How long have to been watching football? Good grief.

Good point. If UGA has no penalty then Charles Scott has a 52 yd run for a TD. If MSU scores then we come back and kick a FG. But MSU didn't score and that has to count too.

Do you really think we'd have run the ball there from our own side of the field? Pls tell me we wouldn't have.

At this point it doesn't matter what any of them think. Throw out the stats, and what the past games looke like. We all know that we have the weapons to win. Just as many as anybody else. Not like we have seen the best they can play or we don't have anybody to match up. So, this is not about the stats. This season is going to be marked differently and by the score not the stats.

Or they keep winning close games until they get the rep of refusing to lose or doing what it takes to win. Just keep winning and that solves all problems. No matter how ugly the wins. Just keep winning! Does anyone think an LSU team that just barely wins games the rest of the year, blows no one out and goes undefeated will not be in the BSC championship game? Despite the Rantards unhappiness.
