He is as good a PG as LSU has had in a LONG time. Perhaps since Chris Jackson. At times last year Waters completely controlled games. The arse-kicking at Arkansas was probably the best example of that.
I knew he'd be able to handle the basketball and had good court vision. I did not think he'd be such a great scorer or that he had that much athleticism. Everyone remembers the shot to beat A&M, but maybe the best play ALL SEASON was his block to win the Houston game.
Clearly he wants to go pro sooner rather than later. And guys with his savvy and ability don't come around often. So NOW is the time for LSU to take advantage. Last year he had to be the #1 scoring option AND facilitator. This year he can probably be the conductor of the orchestra and not the guy who has to put up 20 to give LSU a shot.
Wade is going to have a lot more "alpha-dogs" this season. So the key is getting them to trust in Waters and allow him to run the show. If so, LSU should be VERY scary offensively.
