I have been attending LSU football games since 1960. Some observations...
a. Some years we played only 5 SEC games by our choice. Playing fewer SEC games by choice cost us an SEC title in 1969.
b. Most years teams like Rice and A&M and Tulane and TCU were very poor teams. In the 1970s we started playing one decent OOC team most years and into the 1980s.
c. The SEC is so much more tough to win in now than in the period before 2000.
