re: Miles bashing on the GT board....

i read some of the Miles bashing threads on the GTsites, and after reading 40 or so of them, i wanted to make a post. But I didnt feel like signing up.

i would put something like how miles hates GT and calls you funny names and wants to eat your children...etc...

gawd, that site is riddled with sore losers and cry babies....phuck em

leaving georgia dome and hearing "roll tide" made me hate them even more

In all fairness and in defense of Georgia Tech, the views of a few do not necessarily represent the views of the majority.

I am sure that I could go through this board and find a few threads that make LSU look "clueless" or ignorant or classless, but that does not extend to the entire fan base.

The majority of Tech fans left before the fourth quarter because the game was so bad, and couldn't care less what happened in the final 15 minutes.

FWIW, Miles wasn' trying to SCORE on the fake punt, he stated that they were in an alignment where we should try it. He had wanted to try it for a long time.
I think Miles was just trying to get a first down and run some clock. After all, there WERE 10 minutes left. Also, Miles had the luxury of being able to experiment for next year. If it had backfired, GT would have had the ball around midfield, not the 20 (like where LSU got the ball when GT MISSED their fake punt.)

I don't think Miles is petty enough to run up the score because Johnson laughed at a press conference about Miles option defense. The circumstances might have just dictated that a smile would have been appropriate.

Miles congratulated Johnson for several seconds at midfield after the gamel it was Johnson who looked uncomfortable in Miles' grasp, like he coudn't wait to get away from the man.

Also, LSU was not the favorite here. GT was the overwhelming choice by 80% of the public and probably 99.999999% of the media.

Exactly! We were the underdogs playing in their hometown. We heard about their great system and how we weren't going to be able to stop it. Why punt and give their deadly triple option attack a chance to score to let them save face (like Penn State). If you can't get the ball back from our offense, tough. Hell, LSU's fake punt was the second worse fake punt call that day. They should be pissed X 100 over that one.

GT is lucky they weren't playing the Okies who are notorious for running up the score!!

Omg! Talk about rude! We cant help it they cant win the Chik-Fil-A Bowl game and we can. Which I think we are 5-0 in btw. And calling Miles low class? And we are running out of saban's recruits? I thought all of saban's recruits were already gone when we won the NC and those kids graduated. Us self destruct? we are going through some growing pains but we have been and always will be a great team. I c AL isnt the only ones having a meltdown.
