The message boards were full of people constantly stating that Cornwallis' early success was due to the fact that he was fighting with Sir Henry Clinton's men.
Later in the war, when the recruits from Clinton had finally left the army, Cornwallis marched with his own men at Yorktown.... and the rest is history.
