I don't even....
You asked why doesn't he have leverage. I provided you an ESPN writer's analysis. You say I'm moving the goal posts on you.
Just forget it. Ball keeps sailing over your head.

I've asked you about 50 unanswered questions. The way you were phrasing it made it sound like you were saying he doesn't have any trade value which he does, you quoted somebody saying that he doesn't have the ability to force a trade RIGHT NOW which is correct but completely irrelevant to this conversation, try to keep up dumbass. Whether or not Mett can force a trade right this second has absolutely nothing to do with what we were talking about

The Seahawks shelved Flynn after spending a fortune on him in favor of Wilson. Why? Because Wilson was better. I'd hope the Titans would be able to swallow their pride to put the best product on the field. Whether they will have to do that or whether they will be able to remains to be seen.
Remind me, what happened to Flynn after Wilson was named starter? Did he stick around and try to earn the job back? A career backup asking out after being replaced by a rookie? The horror

He doesn't have any trade value right now. I bet the Titans phone is just blowing up with teams lining up for Mett....
And the Titans aren't going to trade him. And now he doesn't want traded.
I've enjoyed your melt.

the difference being Flynn lost his job via competition
Glad you pointed that out considering the Titans made it clear there will be no competition

I'll just say this. Regardless of Mettenberger's situation, the Titans proved once again what poor management they have by making that pick yesterday. It's clear they have no idea on how to build a competitive franchise. It's the same shite every year

How do you think I feel? I'm a Titans fan surrounded by Saints fans 24/7. The hell I catch in public is well deserved. Glutton for punishment I guess.
I had a mail man look at me one day and say "hold on, so there are actual Titans fans out there?"

I've enjoyed watching you go from making all these confident yet borderline retarded statements to resorting to pure speculation to try to prove your point because you're out of arguments that actually provide substance

Mett doesn't have trade value or leverage to entice a trade. Yea I'm pretty confident in that.
You really love Mettenburger and LSU. I'll give you that.

Not really, occasionally I just like to call a spade a spade. Honestly I used to think Mett was a huge queer when I saw him out but that doesn't change the fact that you're completely wrong

Link this thread if anybody who is paid to talk football links Mett to trade talk and says he has any value.
I'll be waiting. Until then, that's like just your opinion, man.

the end, coaches like to keep their job, and they put the best players on the field. so while being #2 overall gives mariota some breathing room, mettenberger killing it all year will win him the job.
Exactly, which is why they don't bench a #2 draft pick. They do that, they put their arse on the line and better hope that decision puts them in the playoffs at worst. Pete Carroll was one of the bigger personal gambles I've seen. The thing is, by picking Mariota, no QB has s chance to win there because they didn't address the real problems they have. So say Mett outperforms Mariota considerably in the preseason. He starts, the Titans still suck because the rest of the team around him is awful. So the coach gets fired even if Mett was the right choice. If the coach starts a lesser performing Mariota and they suck, the coach can tell management Mariota is young and needs better talent around him. That buys a coach another year of keeping his job.
So put yourself in Mett's shoes. Mett had been shown by management they have chosen the QB that will be the starter for at least the next two seasons. At that point his contract will be up and the only thing on his resume will be playing in 6 games on a 2-14 team. His only prayer of sting is if Mariota is injured. Is that what you want to base your future off of? I think it shows competitiveness by him wanting to somewhere that will actually allow competition.

Seriously you are retarded. This discussion has been about the stupidity/legitimacy of Mett's (or his agent's) now-rescinded statement about wanting to be traded because of the draft pick.
I worry for you. I honestly do.
ETA: Rather than rely on your terrible memory, please go look at your first reply to my post about his statement being foolish. You called me out for saying that his public desire to be traded was stupid. That started this whole thing

First of all, that wasn't what most people were talking about in this thread, it's what you defaulted to every time somebody called you out for being an idiot. It turned into a Mett/Mariota discussion and where he should go from here. Go look through your posts, if the random scatterbrained bullshite that you were spewing was supposed to be pointed toward the legitimacy of his agent's statement then you should probably spend more time worrying about yourself than me

Go through my posts? Ok this was from three hours ago:
Anything else in this said by me was to justify that his comments were not smart for a guy at this point of his career trying to make it as a QB in this league. Go back and look for yourself since you have to have your hand held.
What most people were talking about?
look at the title of this thread. Next time you have a thought, just stop.
