Ryan Leaf had a strong arm, having skills doesn't make you a great QB. What I'm hoping to see is his leadership role improve on the sidelines. I hated Krag's sideline locker room he created for Mett, keeping him away from the fans and team was a BAD call.

Consistently made tosses from one hash to the far sideline all year. One of the most difficult throws to make. Definitely one of the best arms in college football. Hopefully he continues to develop the rest of his game and get a natty

I may get burned fir this, but lee and jj were better there sr years. Still below average. But if krags can get a lil imorovement from those guys, cam can get a lil improvement from mett.

Mett didn't have THAT bad of a year last year. Especially considering it was his first year playing against SEC caliber defenses.

What he did against Alabama should be enough for anyone to see the potential for this kid.

Hell in the early part of the year the fricking receivers couldn't catch the ball. And had ODB not fumbled against Florida we very well could have won that game. Not to mention VERY shoddy OL play for much of the season.

I don't know what team some of you watched last year.

Did they go on to say how awful his feet are, and how he showed zero pocket presence? Just curious.

God I hope he improves. Clearly the arm is not in question. But unfortunately everything else is.

No LSU QB is as good or as bad as the Rant suggests.
That is all.
Mett will be fine with better OL run support and blitz pick up.

This, but I've learned that you can't take what you read on here and use it to analyze LSU's fan base. Only real life encounters and conversations. Our fan base isn't half as embarrassing in real life as it is on the rant.

I can't wait to see the Burger in action. I'm sure he is making a lot of off season improvements. I think he's gonna surprise a lot of people.

Can you all give me this week's Lotto numbers? I have never seen so many people who can predict the future and know that Mett will not improve over last year.

He and the receivers improved as last season developed. Given a better offensive game plan and a couple more weapons in Dural and Leslie, I think that he is going to do well.

Final game of the season was not a very good showing by Mett. To me it was a roller coaster season for him - ups and downs, with more downs than ups. I have to question what you were seeing at the end of the season to say "he improved as the season developed."

hate to do this, but Jamarcus had one of the best arms in the pros. We all see how it takes more than a good arm to be successful.

JR might have the strongest arm in the history of football and that strong arm was enough to dominate in college. That's all we need. Don't care about nfl.

Leaf was a great college QB. LSU will have a great season if Mett plays as well as Leaf did in college.
