c'mon man. Les was steadily giving Jordan more and more snaps over the 4 games he returned to the lineup - the 4 games immediately before Bama. those snaps were mainly change of pace/ running type plays. and Bama had a bye week. do you really think Saban wasn't expecting to see him in some capacity and didn't prepare his team accordingly?

If you watch the two games that season, you can see that Jordan Jefferson ran the option better in Game 1. The question is why did he play so confidently in Game 1 but have that deer in the headlights look in Game 2? Alabama's defense didn't play badly, but the 150 yards rushing and blown coverage that fortunately didn't result in a touchdown are very questionable. Jarrett Lee couldn't do crap, and Jordan Jefferson had more success. Again, the big question is why couldn't he run the option with the same confidence on 1/9/12. Why wasn't he hitting the big passes on 1/9/12?

On another note, is it fair to call 2011 a two quarterback system? After Jarrett Lee's abysmal performance in the Alabama game, we never really saw him again, so the Honey Badger was left to spark the team and lead to huge second half blowouts against Arkansas and Georgia. The Honey Badger couldn't change momentum in either Alabama game, and LSU subsequently never ran away with either. Those are just my observations.

I can answer the entire first paragraph in one statement.. It's JJ. I watched the guy play countless games and I still couldn't figure him out.
But on the two qb system, I mean it was and it wasn't. It's not like bama was our first game.. but the swapping series just never panned out, if we could just run the options and so forth with Jennings and pocket passing plays with Mett I don't think it would hurt.
