Media Interpretation of Our Offense

So, now that we've faced a dominant defense, everyone is questioning if our offense is national championship caliber. They are also questioning whether our quarterbacks are good enough.
Watching Sunday night football makes me think: When the Ravens and Steelers have a knock down drag out defensive battle, do they talk about how Ben Roethlisberger and Joe Flacco suck??
Yeah I know that our Quarterbacks don't even compare, but I think it's a good example of what great defenses can do to an offense and quarterbacks.

To be fair, Joe Flacco always sucks

So what are they going to say when we win the national championship? They won it all even though they have a terrible offense? Who cares? Have they even looked at the numbers our offense has put up before playing Alabama? Even though the defense is responsible for some of the scoring, beating opponents by double-digit margins is pretty impressive. I like our chances of winning it all with our offense, as long as the defense keeps playing at a supreme level.

We have a good offense. Lee was off last night

I don't disagree with any of you. Just saying I thought it was an interesting point with all the bashing our offense is taking in the lsat 24 hours by the media.
I don't think our offense puts up that performance against this year. I also don't think we will see another Defense with half the talent of Alabama.

The media is just talking because it is their jobs to come up with talking points. They know good and well that both LSU and Alabama have obliterated everyone in their paths and that we just had a giant slugfest. We don't have a good offense compared to what? Oregon? We whipped that arse. Oregon is doing the same thing to teams right now that OSU is doing - hanging 52 points a game, but we rocked them and would do it again easily. It's all about defense... and no other team in America has the defense that LSU and Alabama has. We would bust their faces open and it wouldn't even involve a bar fight.

The media hates LSU. The sooner people accept it, the sooner they can enjoy it when talking heads are forced to eat crow.

I don't worry about. If offense won national titles, then Oregon, Texas Tech, and Hawaii would have been battling it out in the bcs every year this decade.

This is a great point. Alabama has the best defense that we will see all season (and probably for many seasons). We struggled against this great Bama defense, but we are not going to face any team with a defense that can shut us down. Our offense is perfectly fine to be national championship caliber--we will not struggle offensively against any of the teams that we are likely to face the rest of the way.
