Spears was telling Doug Moreau, that Aranda has to do a better job of dialing up different blitzes, he depends too much on only 4 guys getting to the QB. It's simply providing too much time to find a receiver, allowing QB's to get in a groove.

Spears noted this. No secondary can handle for an entire game what Aranda is asking LSU's secondary to do.

The SEC teams on LSU's schedule have spectacular passing offenses. Whatever reason Aranda has for not blitzing, he'd better find some blitz packages that work and soon. LSU has the athletes everywhere on defense, its up to Aranda to use them appropriately.

Our defense is always vanilla vs cupcakes.

I’m more worried about individual performances rather than scheme and play calling.

He hasn't sent more than 4 much this season.

The problem was the conservative game plan on both sides of the ball and calling off the dogs when we went up 24.

Up 24-0 the defense should not have let them back in the game

That’s what happens when you put backups on the field in the 1st half

LSU will get killed if he tries this with Ga. and Bama. And Ole Miss is bringing to Tiger Stadium 3 of the best receivers overall in the country, that according to Doug Moreau.

If there's one thing I'm certain of, it's that if Marcus knows something to make the defense better, Aranda is already 10 levels deeper figuring it out. Maybe Dave had a reason to keep 7 in coverage and changing that would have been worse in the balance of things.

If there's one thing I'm certain of, it's that people are never too smart to learn from someone else. That goes for Aranda too.

Aub is more of a rushing offense compared to Ole Miss, Ala, and Ga.

I’ll tell it to you like this. If Spears hasn’t seen our blitzs, no one else has. I think that’s a good thing. Your opponents style of play often dictates your defensive calls.

The defense is the strength of our team. There’s no sense in blitzing Tech unless necessary. Yes, the young guys needed work. I’m not disappointed in the defense at all but I do expect better execution. The linebacker play is outstanding but we need to tackle better among the whole defense.

We are showing the bare minimum for tape. Anyone that thinks that Aranda doesn’t know how or when to fricking blitz is an absolute moron. He’s a mad scientist.

Our opponent's style of play is about to go from zero to 100, that's how much improved the passing games will be of teams remaining on LSU's schedule.
