No, that's not what I'm saying at all. Baker is a good young DC. Paired with a great offensive mind like Kiffin pays off for a DC like him. Contrary to belief, they can work in tandem. In Baker's case, BK also didn't give his side the love it needed in gameplan preparation. I think even Baker said this which is why they often looked ill prepared for a dual threat like Reed. Why do you think he stayed with Kiffin? It makes him look better with a DC who already has high stock. Kiffin will help elevate his stock. Baker is not dumb.

Don't be surprised to see a defense much improved over last year which was already a strength. By midseason this offense will likely be firing on all cylinders. Might be a little rough early. Kinda wish we got TAMU later in the season because this team will undoubtedly be dangerous by the end of the season as chemistry comes together.
