I would say I was most excited for Marcel Brooks in our last recruiting class, we all knew Stingley would perform well based on the comments from last years bowl game practices. I know Brooks was lighting it up during the camp circuit because his national rank sky rocketed during that period, he also performed pretty well during the spring games from what I read. I understand that we are loaded at linebacker, I would just love to see what he could bring to the table this year if possible. If anyone has read or heard anything about him recently, I'd love to hear about it.

TexasTiger7 (or something to that effect) is one of his close friends. He’d be the guy to ask.

Haven’t seen him post on here lately. Maybe he’s on the recruiting board.

I think he will replace Jacoby or Klavon when they graduate or declare. I think marcel can be 6'3 230ish athlete in the future and a QB sack monster. some people see FS in him but I see more of a SS/OLB

Kid is gonna be a monster for us.

But be patient. Like you said, we are LOADED at LBer and have guys ahead of him. And I’m still not sure where he plays. If it’s edge rusher / OLB, he’s gonna need time to add weight and bulk up. If he’s gonna play safety, it’s gonna take time for him to learn how to play a new position. It took Stevens a while to find his role, but he found it and is thriving. I think the same will happen with Brooks.

I'm pretty sure he was in the same position as Chaisson, almost like a hybrid DE/OLB. I remember Coach O commenting on him excelling in pass rush during the spring practices.
