He’s bounced around and been fired from most of his P5 positions. Saban only gave him one year as OC. He couldn’t cut it as head coach at Houston when they were still in the AAC. He was never a very effective P5 OC. Let’s just say he’s found his level in the lower G5 ranks and should stay there if he wants a long career.
There’s nothing wrong with staying where you have success when you don’t have much if any higher up the ladder.
