He's not canning a guy with Mainieri's credentials and achievements.
The only thing that pisses me off it that Mainieri stated "we need to be more aggressive". How the frick did it take him this long to reach this conclusion? We've looked passive at the plate almost the entire season.
I do think PM needs to shake some things up but he's forgotten more baseball than everyone on this forum combined.

LSU only has 3 legit D1 caliber non-pitching players. ZW, AD, and JS. You tell me with a straight face if Hughes, Broussard, or Reid could make the roster of any other SEC team, or play regularly at ULL, UNO, and SELU for that matter.

you can't tell what a guy "looks like". PM has never been the type of coach that "breaks things in the dugout". this year is probably the worst of his career as far as KEY injuries and, of course, losing his dad.
comparing him to Smoke is unmitigated bull shite.

Don’t criticize the baseball team. A lot of butt hurt will occur from the pumpers that can’t recognize a slightly above average team.
