Offense

Since we really don't have a FB, we will be running a lot of 2 WR/2 TE/Singleback sets.

QB: Jefferson
RB: Ware
WR: Randle, Shepard
TE: Peterson, Clement
RT: Hurst
RG: Blackwell
C: Lonergan
LG: Dworaczyk
LT: Collins

Defense

DE: Montgomerey
DT: Ferguson (or Johnson)
DT: Brockers
DE: Edwards
ROLB: Baker
MLB: Minter
LOLB: Francois
CB: Claiborne, Simon (Mathieu needs to stay in the nickel)
FS: Loston
SS: Taylor

Base set Tyrann is the starter.

You mean since we have the same exact fullback who paved the way for a 1000yd rusher last season?

quote:

LT: Collins

True freshman, 18 year old, startling left tackle against a national championship team, at morgantown, and against SEC right D-ends?

quote:

DT: Ferguson (or Johnson)

Josh Downs ring a bell?

quote:

CB: Claiborne, Simon (Mathieu needs to stay in the nickel)

So when the defense is in the 4-3 base set, Mathieu is going to be off the field because he needs to stay in the nickel? You guys never cease to amaze me

You obviously didn't watch any game last year.

Stampley couldn't solidify the spot so they moved Copeland from DT and he didn't do anything. Hell, Spencer Ware saw some time at full back.

I'm not listing the whole depth chart. You could list any 2 DT's as the starters and you won't get any complaints. It doesn't really matter who the "starter" is anyway.

This is not that big of a deal on the line. Ciron Black did it. If not Collins, then who? Faulk?

Mathieu didn't make a name for himself because of his coverage last year. He was fan-fricking-tastic because he was a relentless blitzer and made things happened. Sure he is a good coverage guy but so is Simon and he has the better Physical tools of the 2.

Collins? Are you serious. Faulk is the man there. No true freshman is going to start at LT.

Ciron did it as a redshirt freshman. Not much of a difference there. Collins is that good.

Stupid. and yes there is a huge difference. Do you think there would be a difference in Collins if the last game experience he had was lining up against all of the white catholic league guys and if he spent a year learning and going against Sam Montgomery and Mingo every day? I'd say there's a difference

Ciron redshirted and went against Tyson Jackson, Melvin Oliver, Kirston Pittman, RJF and Rahim were also freshmen. Oh and Wroten and Williams were playing DT as well. Thats how he grew during his redshirt year. You tell me there's not much of a difference.

And to answer your question, it will be faulk

Eh, I don't know if he'll ever be an every down player. If he starts at all it will likely only be short term until someone like Logan or Johnson takes over.

Please shoot urself in your pinky toe right now. How does he have better physical tools? The only thing that Simon has over him is height and its obvious that some of you guys are enamored with height. Mathieu is the better corner period bc of his coverage skills and his play making ability. O and Tyrann will come up and support the run. YOU NEVER TAKE UR BEST PLAY MAKER OFF THE FIELD!!!

Simon is a better cover corner than Mathaiu. It's not by much though

To me we cant make that assumption bc of limited P.T. for Simon. Yes he made a couple of plays, but lets wait until we get into the season to give him that crown

How can you say that? Where did you derive your opinion. I'm not saying its wrong, i'm just curious what would tell anyone that one is better than the other
