im not but imo smith will be ahead of dickson and used a ton more. Smith is in a different league

I sure hope he jumps Dickson & Gordon. We need a threat at TE.

agreed.. basketball player playing football. After he gets in the weight room and learns the playbook... the only guy stopping him will be himself. He's definitely a diamond in the rough

Posted by Respublica88 watch out for DeSean Smith to split out wide. Talk about a matchup issue... 6'5" 245 lbs tight end who can run vs an SEC corner... in the red zone = money!

Would love to see them run that same formation they tried over ad over with that TE from last year....his name escapes me. But he would line up on the line, then split out wide against a corner and they tried an end zone fade a few times to no avail. Something like that would be perfect to get Smith into the game effectively

I think you are thinking of Nick Jacobs.

and I really think we will see smith do this a lot towards the endzone

Nic Jacobs. I loved that dude. Mett threw one of those fades about 15 ft in the air, and then overthrew him for a big gainer vs A&M.

Jacobs was prob our best combo of hands, agility and blocking in recent memory. damn you, Nic.

I'd like to see Gordon get a lot of snaps even though Smith is my favorite.

He is huge and originally recruited as an O-lineman so he should be able to block like a champ. Played basketball in HS so he is pretty athletic. Apparently he has good hands.

Gordon and Smith will make an interesting combo

Do y'all remember when they motioned out Vadal Alexander in the Washington game? He could have killed that little DB.

Don't be surprised if they try that play with Andy Dodd this year. He's getting a lot of attention from the coaches and actually played TE his junior year of high school. Though that play was probably a screen pass

I didn't forget about them. In fact, imo, with solid line and QB play, Boone could be one of the most productive receivers.

Not for me. Wright is probably the biggest reciver we have and made some very tough catches last year. It took 5-10 yards and 2 defenders to bring him down for several catches last year. Wright and Boone played as true freshman. I've had a lot of respect for them since they stepped on the field. Good players and teammates

Boone and Wright were the most reliable receivers last year when OBJ and Jarvis were having problems with drops.

Our WR depth is mind boggling and I don't see how everyone is going to get used to their potential

No way Spears could contribute with how skinny he is right now

He could be a beast down the road though. Im always a fan of picking up tall WRs

I was big on the Q bandwagon until all these questions about his weight came up.

James Wright only has 88spd on NCAA 14 so I doubt he sees the field much

You joke, but this pretty much sums up the logic of the rant.
