Assuming neither offense can move the ball at all, LSU has a special teams advantage.

Zach Von Rosenburg is averaging 45.1 yds/punt on 9 tries, good for 13th in the country. Auburn's long-range Aussie punter is averaging only 40.75 in 4 tries.

If these trends hold, that's approximately one extra field goal try for LSU per half, and Cole Tracy has already proven to be a game-changer for LSU's pedestrian offense.

Auburn has yet another Carlson who has proven range and accuracy (3/3 long of 50), so field position will be critical, especially if the game comes down to another kicking competition like we saw in '16.

Last year, it was DJ Chark's punt return that was able to hide the shortcomings of LSU's overmatched offense. This year, LSU will likely have to look to special teams again.
