true...the Chik bowl in 08 really caused the team to be overrated going into last year. In my mind, this team has more potential, to start the season, than the 09 team did.
The 08 team shouldn't have been ranked very high given the QB situation, along with the players that left after 07.

Please don't remind me, I've tried to put that decade out of my mind. Hard to believe we hired Hallman over Spurrier. Then Spurrier beat the crap out of us for a decade. Last game of Kev Faulk's career I sat in the endzone at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock as Dinardo had Faulk lined up in the QB spot. It was all I could do not to get up and just start taking out a decade of frustration with my fist on the Hog fans behind me talking smack on the Tigers. The Hogs killed us and after that game we hired Saban and a whole lot better decade started thank God!

How the mighty have fallen, are you as stupid as you seem??? We don't judge seasons on how the polls go do we??? If we do then why even play the damn games, just let the SEC??? polls pick our champion, I'm sure Paul Finebaum would love this, he already told us who is the best program, who has the best coach..........I guess I'll just not watch football this year, the polls have already spoken.......

nah, about what they desreved, who saw the forcoming QB problems, but talent alone LSU should always be ranked high, if not top ten then just outside like the Ohio States and Oklahoma's amd Texas' always are. Michigan also, til they took a big fall!

8-4 or 9-3, which I am not satisfied with at all. This sport is about championships, not top 17 finishes. You don't start the season hoping for a top 17 finish. If you can't make it on top, then you failed.

then you get my drift, if you start settling then LSU football will not be the powerhouse it once was, and it's going in that direction that's why I hope Les turns it around this year.
