LSU should dome Tiger Stadium

We should put a dome on Tiger Stadium so we can finally have some artificial turf. It would also protect against the heat and cold conditions that affect the games. We could make it even better than Jerryworld.
Also, LSU never loses in a dome so that's a huge plus amirite?

No. The real grass looks sweet and the open stadium looks sweet too. Why change it? If it ain't broken, don't fix it.

while you will get torn apart of even mentioning this, i am amazed at just how well we play on a fast track. pretty incredible IMO

There are benefits of playing on turf. It helps with running faster and stuff like that. However, turf is uncomfortable to play on, and when you fall on it, it literally cut you up. I would just stick with the grass we have.

I just posted inquiring about LSU's dome stadium record which I know during the Miles years has been stellar but I would never trade Saturday night in Death Valley for a domed stadium - even if they stuck Jerry's world in BR and offered free tickets! It just wouldn't be the same. Why do we need a dome stadium anyway - it never rains in Tiger Stadium!

Playing in Louisiana climate conditions should favor LSU so that is a advantage you would be taking away.

You can have artificial turf on an outdoor field, you know...

yes. but, it sure doesn't say much about a school that is an aggricultural college, does it?

I'm just going to let the rest of the people on this thread destroy you...have you heard about: tradition? history? memories?
At LSU games in the Superdome, it just seems dead, nothing like a Saturday night, in an outdoor Death Valley...and the cold??? Really???

I'm down with it. Put in some purple field turf with Toonces at midfield and we've got ourselves a dome baby!
