If we want to be like BAMA, we can also claim we were co-champs in 1962. Although Ole Miss beat us, and finished the season undefeated, the Berryman QPRS mathematical system determined LSU and USC finished the season tied for first place.

Between Berryman, Dunkel Index, Sagarin, Billingsley, Williamson, NCAA National Championship Association, Southern Association, etc. LSU has 10 outright or tied National Championships:

1908,1935,1936,1958,1961,1962,2003,2007,2011,2019.

At worst we have 4. I think at best we have 6.

I miss CollegeFootballWarehouse.com :)

Even at 4, we're in pretty good company, behind or tied with USC, Minnesota, Army, Princeton, Texas, alashama, Miami, Tennessee, Michigan, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Nebraska, FSU, Yale, North Dakota State, Penn State, Florida, Clemson and Pittsburgh.

And in the last 20 years, only 10 of these 4+ NCs have won National Champsionships: USC(2), Texas, alashama(5), Miami, Ohio State, Oklahoma, FSU, Florida(2), Clemson(2), and LSU(3).

What would it take for LSU to even entertain this? Who would we email? Scott W? BOD?
