kick offs were bad, field goals horrible, punt return was bad every game but one, punt coverage wasn't great, punts were fairly bad. every area but Kick return was bad.

Either way BDP should have never been allowed back after 08

Like I have said all along, Steele is not a top option, he is simply a target if we miss on our top choices. He seems to be dropping fast in our selection. From what I am being told he is not top 5

IMO steele is just a smidge better than promoting BDP

just because he is a top choice doesn't mean he would come here. There are guys you call that wouldn't consider coming here.

Again based on what Shea Dixon said I don't think he comes.

I don't know how you can say kick returns were bad when we averaged the second most yards per kick in the nation.

NM. Misread the post.

I think our return units were good this year and coverage units were average.

Yes, I did and it happened with his agent earlier this week. And I also stated ahead of the meeting that it was a longshot - and I confirmed the next day it was a Sexton circle jerk trying to use it to get more out of Auburn.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Mytigger... What does the coaching staff see in Steele that makes him a top choice?

I said kick offs were bad, kick returns were fine. Our kick offs though were all over the place, we were booting them out the end zone early and then it became a shite show. It helped contribute to our loss to bama

I hear ya' LSUNV, but he's been the name that's been most consistent from the people I've spoken to.

Also hearing that Alleva will not be spending any more on buy-outs beyond the $400k he plans to get from Chavis. Brick's buyout is $100k, unless he leaves for a DC position, in which case it becomes $0.

The kick offs against ND were terrible.

not sure if he knows but from what he has said the last couple of days, he has a friend close to the LSU organization. So he likely texts or talks to this friend and he passes along information. Just like every other insider. But he is anonymous while others have name behind them and are reliable.

Not saying Mytigger is lying but I rather get my info somewhere else.

I really don't know beyond his ability to recruit in the SEC, which was one of Les' hangup's with CP. I was told today that CP is definitely in the mix though.

I think Steele is just being mentioned because miles is either trying to help his buddy get a raise where he's at or to help get his name out there for other jobs. I doubt that he is a "serious" consideration.

This could be the hold up. CP may come after Brick takes a new Job.

His name was thrown out a lot early on with my sources too, but LSU has cooled fast on him because of the interest shown by other coaches. As far as the buy-outs, I have been told the BOD are wanting a home run hire. Alleva may not have a say so in the end

That's fine and no hard feelings. I'm sharing the info as it comes to me. My guess is multiple people have multiple contacts within the AD office and everybody is getting updated info as the situation progresses. These things are fluid and change hour to hour. I will say that my buddy has people that are friends in the AD office as well as people that are close with the coaching staff - so he's getting insight from multiple sources close to the situation.

I am by no means the grand poo-bah of information, just a guy with good source.

Thank God.

I told my buddy Les will be signing his resignation in 2 years if he hires that clown.
