Can't wait to hear the rain of boo's when he picks Bama on Gameday. I'm sure Corso will make the right choice and put the tiger head on as usual

People tend to focus more on guys like Lou Holtz and Robert Smith (although he recently picked us as a title contender, from my understanding) because it seems that they not only pick against us, but do it in such a fashion that our fan base believes to be condescending. Or as the OP said, if they do pick us, they feel as if they need to take a jab afterward.

However, because this is the rant, and optimists are generally not welcome, no one points out the analysts that consistently defend us.. i.e. Mark May, Jesse Palmer. I'd say there are an equal, if not greater amount of pundits that would pick us over most teams than analysts that wouldn't.. our fans just can't take criticism.

Yes - LSU will be dogs at home. But Lou and Herbstreet are notorious LSU haters. Herbstreet will pick LSU in obvious situations, but otherwise, he blasts them.

I don't know that Herbie is a hater. He just tailors his opinions to the audience. What he says on Finebaum is completely different than what he says on a BR radio show. When he's on ESPN he says whatever the biggest demographic wants to hear.

He hates LSU for some reason . If you watch him on ESPN. He will always pick against us . Don't pay attention to dolts. They just keep him on Espn because they need a clown to make fun of on set ..

I agree that people like May, Palmer, and even Fowler always acknowledge LSU. I just always wondered why Lou Holtz was such an avid hater no matter how good we are. Don't classify me in the portion of our fan base that buys into the "ESPN hates LSU" conspiracy.

Y'all def dont get a lot of the credit you deserve esp when it comes to recruit rankings, but its not near as bad as some of you make it out to be.

I'm not so sure he has a vested interest against the Tigers. I believe that it has more to do with ESPN's ratings agenda.

Our fan base and its irrationality is no secret. Moreover, ESPN has figured out that people "love to hate" certain topics.

Take for example, First Take, all of which it is is a race-baiting, line-crossing, polarizing issue starting show with hosts that have completely opposite view points. Only because viewers love to think that their opinion is better than the one on TV.

Well, he was right. If you win, you move up, lose, you move down.

Why so negative?

Them Alabama frickers are so isolated down there they don't have a clue what happens outside their state borders. It's all new to them.

That shite is getting ridiculous Stephen A always has to bring up race and the "struggle" of black athletes. I feel so bad for their struggles making millions a year.

It's the "they wont be there for long" jab that he took. Plus he never has anything positive to say. If LSU would be beating Bama 24-0 at halftime he would still find something to cut them down.

He recognizes who the better team is between Bama/LSU. Everyone in the country does.
